Girl trip

Ok, so I am really surprised that is has taken this long for a story about our "girl trip". Just for the record it was the best time I have had in along time with my "sisters". Ok so to start things off Lori and I decide the plan the trip so we already know that we are going to Wisconsin dells, so we go online to fined the perfect hotel, but for a reasonable amount which is code for really fricken cheap. So we find what seems to look like a nice hotel its called "the diamond hotel" its within walking distance from the water park so that's perfect. So we book it. The four of us girls (Lori, Michelle Renee and myself) head for the dells, we make decent time and get to the hotel. Now remember its 4 woman that are on this trip we have a ton of snacks and of course way to much luggage for a 4 day trip. As we enter the hotel we realize there is no elevator and we have to walk 2 flights of stairs with ALL of our luggage mainly shoes:) this is such a turn off already to us, but we ignore it, we get our room key, oh and yes when I say "key" I mean just that, it was literally a key it looked like a house key. Apparently this hotel was not up with the times. By this time we have nicknamed the hotel as the "ghetto hotel". Our first night seems to be going ok we are all getting ready for bed, bed assignments are Renee and Michelle in one bed and then Lori and I in the other. We are so tired from the day you can imagine how excited we are to get to bed. So for whatever reason I am the first to crawl into bed I pull back the covers and to my surprise the previous guests have left us a present, a great big period stained comforter....And we all go EWWWW!!! It was really gross but we all just laughed, and of course changed the blankets. Two days into our trip we decided to go Go-carting and being girls of course prior to our trip we all bought matching outfits in different colors to wear on the same day we all get our outfits on except of course Renee, she cant find hers, our room is pretty clean and organized. Renee had all her stuff in a drawer. So what do we do after looking, we do the only thing that makes sense at the time we blame the maid we are all so pissed I think Renee even called and told the manager that the maid took her pants. At the end of the trip we did find Renee's pants they fell behind the drawer. The poor maid. This is only a little bit of our trip, I am sure Renee,Michelle and Lori can add to it:) Even though it was back in 2002.

With Karate I kick yer @$$! - Jack Black

Last Night I went to watch Robert and Kaylas Muay Thai belt ceremony. Robert passed from yellow to Green Belt and Kayla passed from white to Yellow Belt! Congratulations kids!! And without further Adieu! Here they are!

Those who know will crack up

This stems from a couple years ago when Lori and I were creating "That 70's Basement" so we had the green burlap couch, blacklights, Lime green shag throw pillows and a strobe light (that wasn't on).

Renee came down into the basement and I think Michelle Matt Rebeca Lori and I were down there and Renee goes "Cool! Blacklights." and then proceeds to breakout into a terrible robot dance. Hilarity ensued.

She Said YES!!!

I thought that I would take time out of my day to share with you the happiest moment of my life thus far. As you all know I went to Las Vegas with Mom, Dad and Victor to celebrate my 21st birthday. A few days before Victor called me at work to tell me that he had booked the Gondola ride in the Venetian hotel on Friday at 6:00pm as a surprise to my Mom. I was excited because I knew how excited my Mom would be. Little did I know....it would end up being the biggest surprise of MY life!
The morning of the 21st I decided to take my monthly shower. :o) As I was basking in the warmth of the water, Victor was in the room with Mom and Dad working up the nerve to ask Dad for my hand in marriage.
Victor told Mom and Dad how he admired how they raised all of us kids and that it would be an honor to be a part of our family....He also said that he admired me as an individual. I think Mom was already crying at this point....Then he asked if they wanted to see the ring and Mom (according to Victor) almost fell out of her chair. Dad said Yes for Victor to marry me by the way. All this while I was in the bathroom undoubtedly thinking about work.
5:30 rolls around and I notice Victor acting funny, sort of on edge but I don't think anything of it because he has been acting funny all trip. I attribute it to the fact that he is excited to be in Vegas. It is weird what sort of behavior you will overlook when you are not expecting anything.
Anyways, we walk up to the Gondola ride only to find a line. Victor tells me to wait in line while he goes and talks to one of the workers. I remember being annoyed at the fact that he left me at the back of the line and was standing at the front like a big nerd. I am thinking, why does he think we are special? We need to stand in line like everybody else. Especially since he tells me we are V.I.P (because he bought his tickets online) and when I tell this to the lady who is checking the tickets she takes one look at my ticket and then looks back at me like I am crazy. I then tell her I am with HIM (pointing at Victor at the front of line like he is a celebrity) and she walks away. After talking at the front of the line she comes back to us and opens the velvet rope for us to walk through. I felt so cool at the front of the line like I was at Disney World and got to cut to the front because I had somebody in a wheelchair with me...hehe but thats a story for another day! Anyways we are escorted into the Gondola by an Italian guy who turns out being our Gondolier.
He tells us that couples had to kiss under the bridges because it is considered good luck. As you may or not know Victor is not at all a fan of P.D.A. So you can imagine my surprise when he leaned over and kissed me under every bridge and before each kiss he whispered, I love you. When we were about to turn around the Gondola in the open part of the "river" the Gondolier says in his booming Italian voice, "I am going to sing a song now, okay?" As soon as he started singing a crowd started form around the open area of the river. (as you can see in the second picture) Then Victor reaches into his pocket, gets down on one knee in front of me and and as he is slipping the ring on my finger he says, "I want to spend the rest of my life with you" My mouth was hanging open (I stole a glance at Mom and Dad to see if they were as surprised as i was and was shocked to see that they had been informed beforehand) it was probably the only time in my life that I was ever speechless And I say "Oh my goodness, I can't believe it, I don't know what to say!!"
Victor says, "say Yes!" And I'm like, "OH OF COURSE, YES!!!" The gondolier yells out "she said YES!!!" And everyone around the fence started cheering and clapping and yelling, "let us see the ring!" So I held up my hand to recieve another cheer!! As we are going back to the beginning of the river, we are chased down by a woman asking us for our e-mail address to send us pictures of the proposal and those are the pics below. (dad was quick to hand her his business card) The gondolier announced "she said yes" two more times and we recieved more cheers and one more lady with pictures to send (although we haven't recieved those yet) Since we got back, Victor and I have been so happy, I think I told everyone that I could possibly tell. I can't wait to start a life with him and I am thrilled that part of my family could be there for that moment. I appreciate all of your Congratulations and I can't wait until we are closer to all of you. I love you all and miss you immensly. And remember, Buona Fortuna!!!

Happy Halloween!

When we were little my mom and dad were pretty adamant about us not celebrating "The Devils Holiday". But one Year we got our mom to allow us to participate in Halloween...with one exception.

We had to go as Bible Characters.

I wanted to go as the Great Flood, but Rob was just glad that he got to dress up finally. My mom didn't know how to dress me as the flood so I went as Noah.
Rob was a different story.

When Rob finally came out from getting his costume on, he had on brown corduroys a brown turtleneck and tree branches safety pinned to his clothes all over. Rob was a little apprehensive about his costume, but mom got him all amped up about how unique it was.

The Tree of Life idea didn't work out so well.

Then Only thing I remember from Math class...

So I suppose that I sort of missed my window of opportunity with the embarrassing moment blogs but I figured this one was too good to forget....unfortunately....
So as you all know I hate math, I hate everything about it and this may be why. Well, one day in seventh grade, we were taking a test. And for those of you who remember I used to be smart in seventh grade so I wasn't having any trouble with my test even though I was in the HIGH math class. As I am calculating the percentage of apples Joey had left after he gave four to Suzy...suddenly within the silent walls of the classroom I hear a LOUD, PFFFFFFT (<--thats a fart sound) reverberating off of the walls.....and then even more suddenly I realize that terrible noise had come from MY tiny little bottom.
You can imaging the uproar in the classroom, everyone started snickering and looking around trying to figure out who it was. I felt like everyone was looking at me...so instead of denying it I decided to squash the speculation bug and fess up. (Let me remind you that had this happened to any other girl they would have promptly ran out of the classroom crying and switched schools) But I wasn't any other girl, So I said as I raised my index finger, IT WAS ME! and with a crimson face I went back to taking my test. Averting my eyes from those of my classmates and ignoring the eruption of giggles I decided it was the right thing to do.
After I turned in my test and started to make my way to the sanctity of the hallway I recieved pats on the back from the guys in my class saying, that was a good one! As soon as we reached the hallway one of the gossipy boys in my classroom literally yelled out what I had just done and proceeded to tell every person that was standing at their locker individually. I decided to ignore the harrassement and walked with my head held high to my locker.
To make matters worse when I got home and went to tell Michelle about what happened she informed me that the same boy that was in my class had scouted her out in the hallway to tell her what I had done. I couldn't believe news of this had even reached the HIGH SCHOOL!!! How embarrassing! But I will never forget when I told Michelle she didn't laugh. She said, Javier (the boy who had spread the rumor) is such a jerk, I thought he was lying. She was more concerned with the kid that had spread it around then she was with the fact that it was pretty funny. She protected me from feeling any more stupid then I already did! Thanks Belle! :o)
The next day at school was pretty normal, it seemed like everyone had pretty much stopped talking about it (in front of me anyways) except for the kid that went out and bought me a keychain with a stick figure farting...yeah HAHAHA! Anyways I hope you enjoyed my mortification! There are plenty more embarrassing stories to tell about me...I promise!!

Hurricane Katrina Aftermath...

So a couple weeks after Katrina, I come into work and start talking to Mike, just shooting the shit when all of a sudden, I look down at his shoes. What I saw next can only be desribed as pure terror...and hilarity.

You see friends, Mike's ankles were on the brink of death from hypothermia. Simple socks were not providing enough heat to these boney, hairy beings. Apparantly, Mike was planning on taking on his own Katrina Relief Mission...and he was prepared for the 10 foot swells he knew would be incoming. What he didn't plan for was his ankles, wrinkled, cold, abandoned, had given up on him. They could no longer 'weather' the burden of being exposed to the world. The regular warmth of the inside pant leg had forsaken them, and they had perished.

Now, Mike is forced to walk around on his knees...as his feet are now attached to his shins.

You may ask, where are his ankles now? Noone knows. But thousands of fat people with cankles all over the world are in search of these coveted skinny ankles in hopes that they can restore them to their once vivrant state.

Ok, all bullshit aside, Mike has jeans that would be short on Webster... :D

Get your swimsuits kids, we're going to Siberia!

Since we are on embarassing stories, I shall have a go at it. It was Mike and my first Valentines Day together and he asked me to go to his church, they were having a little pot luck type thing for the couples of the church. One of the things on the agena was to play Pictionary. Well, for those of you who knew me back then (which is most of you :) I was pretty shy, and getting in front of people I didn't know was not my cup of tea. It was my turn to draw, my word was Siberia, so I started to draw everything that came to my mind. The blazing sun, a beach, sand. . . and believe it or not nobody was getting it! So at the end of my time when I revealed that my word was Siberia everyone looked at me funny. Then Mike told me I was correct in the deserted part but not so much in the sunny and hot part. I was so embarassed! FYI Siberia is very cold and very snowy, not hot and sunny. I repeat not hot and sunny.

'Shitty' Memories...

OK, I haven't posted in a while, so I figured I would take this time to tease myself before anyone else does, thus removing some of the sting. ; )

Story 1 :

Mike and Lori's Wedding. We were all at the church and were about to start the ceremony when all of a sudden, my Richard Colon kicked in and I had to take a shath. Now, I tried to wait it out, but got my infamous shath hole pains. (Little Background on my shath hole pains...SHP...when I need to poop REALLY bad, I get these INTENSE pains in my poop hole. It feels like someone is stabbing me with a friggen butcher knife and makes me want to shit myself).

Anyway, there I was...fending off the butcher knife, and my shath, when I decided I had enough time to take the Browns to the Super Bowl. So I did...and after I was done...I put my coat back on and saw a slight stain on my cuff link. After furtner examination from my eyes and nose, I determined it to be a shath stain. A shath stain on my cuff link. HOW DO YOU GET SKID MARKS ON YOUR SHIRT?!?! Leave it up to me.

I don't think I told anyone but Bec...

Story 2 :

This one is embarrassing to I will make this short and sweet.

Volleyball...Labor Day or Memorial Day or some day we had off...sweaty ass...incoming poop...toilet paper on toilet to prevent getting herpes...toilet paper attached to sweaty ass hanging out of shorts when I get back on court.

*runs away crying, toilet paper flapping in the wind behind me*

What Did You Do?: When we lived in the house in Elgin I drew the 3 foot wide Whale on the wall in blue pen with the little house on top of the water spout after watching a cartoon with something similar. It was either Rob or I and Rob can't draw. How did I not get busted for that? I don't know.

The Paper Route

Back in the day my mom had a gigantic paper route. Around 300 Daily Herald Newspapers and 100 or so Chicago Tribunes. These papers were delivered in most part to an apartment complex in Hoffman Estates. The apartments were 3 floors and the door to each floor had a lock. We used to help my mom run this route, and we were paid handsomely for our efforts. I believe Rob started out as the helper and eventually I was the man. The day started at about 3am and ended between 5:45 and 6:15am. Because of the nature of what we were doing and the fact that homeless people were sometimes sighted on the property my mom bought a can of Mace for herself and one for me or whichever kid was helping her that day.

One morning Matthew came along to deliver newspapers, and he was to accompany me. (He has always been a good pack mule and the papers were heavy as heck.) I never really carried the mace, but Matty was still little and he had the paper bag with the mace clipped to it. Everything was going well and Matt hadn't rubbed any mace in his eye this time out, so I was feeling good. Right near the end of the route Matt and I enter the back door of an apartment building and low and behold under the steps is a grimy looking homeless guy sleeping. As we pass Matt is startled by the man, and immediately reaches for the mace and takes aim on the sleeping hobo. Startled, I grabbed his arm, and said, "Dude, You can't Mace a sleeping person!". That poor guy was so close to having a very bad morning.

I still laugh my butt off when I think about what would have happened had this poor guy been maced in his sleep. Can you imagine how much that would suck? Just when you think life can't suck any more you get maced in the eyes while sleeping by an 8 year old. Poor hobo.

Robs Birthday

It was November 3rd, and as tradition would have it all of Robs friends were invited for a sleep over so we could play football the next day.

Rob was 13 or so and I was around 10 we were living in the house in Hanover Park. All the guys were there Duane, Vinny, Peter, Billy W., Me, and Rob and probably a couple others. At the time Rob had a paper route, and needless to say he had several large bags containing rubberbands.

That night around bedtime Vinny and I got a bright idea. We setup about 12 feet away from the entrance to Robs bedroom behind a little table, and as someone was coming out to go to the bathroom to brush their teeth shower or whatever we would pelt them mercilessly with rubber bands. Keep in mind they were in various stages of undress from tshirt and shorts to just shorts.

Since "the marks" were coming out one at a time and "Escaping" to the bathroom we had them pinned down in their and the loud music in Robs room assured we had more clueless victims. Finally one of them got up the guts to take one for the reluctant team and warned Rob. Things turned crazy when Rob opened another bag of rubber bands, and they started firing back. We had better cover but they had revenge in their heads. After about 2 hours and 1200 rubber bands or so the war was over. We each had a dozen or so welts, and the floor between our table and Robs room was covered with about half an inch of rubberbands.

The wonders of shapeable sand

One summer the coolest thing happened. Dad got us a Sandbox! Well, not really a sand "box" per say, but a pile of sand dumped on the side of the house by a dump truck. We played in this sand all the time. I lost countless Matchbox and Hotwheel cars in there, and would build elaborate roads and tunnels. One day Rob joined me playing in the sand. We were digging holes like usual, and Rob happened upon the greatest treasure ever found in the sand pile. Shapeable sand. This was not ordinary sand it was sand with attitude. You didn't have to wet it because it stuck together by itself and was squishy, and shapeable Rob rolled it like Play Doh and folded it. He even went so far as to rub it on his face since it was so soft, but he wouldn't let me play with it. I decided there must be more treasure in here somewhere so I started digging furiously for my own piece of shapeable sand. After about 5 minutes Rob caught a familiar scent in the air. "Michael, Did you poop!?!", he asked me. Incredulous at the notion I shot back, "No I did not!” With the scent still strong in the air though he grabbed the back of my pants to check as you do when dealing with a small child who you believe is lying. Much to his chagrin I was not lying, and the wheels began to turn. I continued to dig until I too caught the scent of poo to which I checked my shoes and concluded I had not stepped in dog poo, and most certainly was not sitting in it. I began to scan the area for the offending odor as Rob had an epiphany. He smelled his hand. With a face of shock and horror he smelled the shapeable sand. "Arrrrrrgggghhhhhhh It's poop!", he screamed. He immediately threw the shapeable sand and jumped up to run in the house and washes his hands and face till they were red from scrubbing.

Needless to say he ruined sandbox time that day and mom came out and called me inside. "Did you find any shapeable sand Michael?" she asked. "No mom Rob wouldn't let me play with it", I said. She began to laugh and said well it serves him right it was a piece of poop.

Rob was traumatized, and never played in the sand again that I can remember.

The moral of the story is: (You decide)

I miss you!

I know you guys probably read this title and think oh well, she says it all the time. But I don't think you all understand how much I miss having your love and support constantly surrounding me. It makes me so sad to go back home because I get another fresh wave of what I have been have been missing. I just want to let you all know that I think that we have the best family in the world and I can't wait until we are all together again. Actually I really think about that everyday. It seems like I have a good thing going over here but if I am not by my family it is not worth it to me. Is that stupid?
I miss my sisters. The other day I almost started crying at IKEA because....I have to ask everyone who comes through my lane for their zip code...one girl came through and said her zip code....i noticed it wasn't from around Phoenix, so i asked what brought her to AZ....she said she was visiting her sister...I was like AWWWW! I wish my sisters could visit me! I was instantly homesick. I almost started crying, can you believe it? The girl looked at me like I was crazy. Michelle, Rebeca, Lori and Mom I don't think you understand how much just going to the mall with you guys meant to me. I loved just calling you and being like, do you wanna go to the mall? Because Lord knows there is nothing else to do in Huntley. lol Michelle I miss laying on your pillows because you always smell so good. I miss hanging out in your room because my room was always messy and cold. Rebeca I miss all of us trying to fit in your bed when Jason was out of town. I miss talking to you I know we miss each other a lot with our schedules. Lori, thank you for understanding when I call and vent to you. Thank you for being so compassionate and sensitive. I wish I had more of your qualities in myself.
I was just talking to a co-worker today about poor people. And I was like this may sound cheesy but I know that if I ever get into trouble anyone in my family would take me in in a second. That really means a lot to me.
Mom, I was asked the other day why I am so driven. I didn't have an answer. I think I know now. I am afraid of failing. I am afraid that I will never be able to buy you all the things that I know you deserve. You deserve so much Mom and I regret the fact that I will probably never be able to travel with you all the places that we want to go. I tried to apply for a credit card today and I got denied again. How depressing.
Kristina wrote me a thank you card the other day and I am just grateful that she remembers me. I feel like I have abandoned every one of my children. Caiden doesn't even know me. BUT he did give me two kisses!!
Mike and Lori I appreciate how you treat me like your own child. I really do. Mike, I loved all of our sleepless nights together, playing computer and drinking Pepsi. Even though you mostly always had to get up early the next morning, I loved how you stood up with me just to make me happy. That really means a lot to me. I regret that I am no good at Halo II.
Matt, I love how you never change. I love that I can always count on you to be insightful in your own nonsense way. I love that you invited me to Italy and made sure I never went hungry, even if that meant you had to. I love that I don't understand half of what you are talking about when you talk about the world ending in 2007. I love the fact that you and I are going to end up surviving by the moonlight with the Hopi Indians. I love that even though you have changed over the years, as have I, you are the same crazy Matthew.
Dad, thank you for always giving me a hard time when I call. I know its just because you want to talk to me longer. I really miss you Daddy and I don't think you believe it but I do. I miss pulling on your ears when we are driving to church, I miss driving in the van and making Michelle mom and you laugh. I miss curling up on your lap and watching Sci-Fi together. That channel really grew on me! :o)
I love you too Jason. Don't think I forgot about you. I am so glad that you fit into this family perfectly. Thank you for being such a great father to your children. Thank you for coming to Arizona and visiting me! Thank you for playing Go-karts with me. Thank you for paying. LOL that was so fun, I had the slow CAR!! I miss you and you will always be my brother Fooqua.
I just want everyone to know that I am happy out here and I am trying my best to make something of myself before I go back home. I love Victor and he is taking good care of me. So don't worry, but don't forget to call. I love and miss you all!

Sleeping Beauty...

I know the rest of you will probably gag, but I thought it was so cute.

Every morning I wake up Rebeca to give her a kiss and tell her I love her before I make my way off to work, and every morning in her sleep deprived drunken state, she seems confused and startled by me! : )

But this morning was different. I did my routine, got my wallet, phone and jewelry on and went to give her a kiss expecting the same song and dance (pinch her butt to wake her up which scares her, give her a kiss, she goes back into drunken sleep deprived state and I go on to work) but this time, when I pinched her butt, I startled her, but when she turned around to see who it was, she saw me and smiled and gave me a kiss. She looked like an angel. I know she will say she prolly looked all nasty first thing in the morning, but she really looked like an angel. Rebeca, you are so beautiful, and I know you never believe me when I say it, but it is true, you are a sexy bitch!!! ; )

Nothing major, but I just wanted Rebeca to know that that started my day off on a good note, I thought that was so cute.

I love you!

I finally got you!!

Ok so this story is one of my greatest accomplishments before marriage and kids. Everyone knows how easy it is to "scare" me, expecially my lovely brother Michael. And if you know how easy it is to scare me then you must know how much I absolutly hate it. My story goes like this. Michael has been scaring the shit out of me since forever i dont remember a time when mike didnt scare me and then laugh histarically as i am beating the crap out of him. So, i set out to get him, i kept trying and thinking of ways to "get" him, since he knew my plan he was always on the watch....... Except this one night. Anyone that lived in the Huntley house back in the day knows that at the end of the hall outside of my parents room(right by the stairs) was were we pilled the laundry, no basket just on the floor. I was walking up the stairs one night and it dawned on me i swear it was a light baulb moment and i heard singing in the backround thats how great this moment was. I knew Mike would be coming up since at this time his room was upstairs. My parents were in there bedroom, so i shut off the hall light and crawled into the dirty clothes covering the bottom of my parents door so there was abosolutly no light, i knew Mike would not turn on hall light because we seldom did we new those stairs like the back of our hands. I can not remember how long i waited there but i was so excited when i heard Mikes voice as he started up the stairs i was hiding so still trying not to get to excited because i didnt want to ruin this amazing moment. As he put his foot on the floor and rounded the corner ( it was like i could here is ever step) i jumped out of the smelly laundry keeping low just in case there were punches thrown because i new he would be so scared and "yelled boo" he screemed like a little girl and started to run i was laughing so hard i managed to say "I finally got you". Even though it was only a split second that he was scared, i got him good and he new it we laughed and he told me that was good thinking. I think he had a new found respect for me even though he still continued to scare me they got less and less i think because he new "pay back is a Bitch" :)

The Mis-Adventures of "The Monte" - The Rob Era

The Monte Carlo was from another era. The era of big heavy doors. Because of the big heavy door era they didn't close real good if you didn't slam them, but that's a story for "The Mike Era" of "The Monte".

First off let me say that I have a lot of good memories from that car. It was a great car. Alternator drained the battery a little fast, and a couple rocker arms were broke, but all in all a good car. :) I will tell all those stories in good time, but this story begins during one of the fondest times I can remember.

My first memories of the Monte begin when someone broke in and stole the extra change and gum from the ashtray in the house in Hanover Park, and busted open the glove box that was screwed shut; In those days Dad and Mom were still driving it, but "The Monte" would soon become the first car to be officially passed down.

This story begins during my Freshman year in High School. Rob was a senior, and was driving his recently handed down car to school everyday. This was a big deal, because there were only so many parking passes handed out for Streamwood High, and he got one.

When Rob got permission to drive to school everyday I figured nothing would change and that I would be taking the bus everyday. You can imagine my surprise when Rob decided I could go with him so I could get some extra sleep, and he made it a point to say so we could hang out more. I was shocked, and honored at the same time. It meant he was recognizing that I was growing up, and he didn't mind being seen with me. Up until this point Rob and I were not very close. I was the pain in the ass little brother and he dealt with me accordingly, and I don't blame him.

I never dreamed he would start to treat me like his friend. It was a great honor. One I will never forget. It was the pinnacle of my life to that point. It instilled a sense of pride and a burning desire to make my big brother proud of me. A desire I had never cared to attend to up until that point. In this simple gesture, he changed my life profoundly. I know it sounds stupid, but it's true. I have never let anyone know when they hurt me, especially emotionally, and him most of all so all those times he fought so that I couldn't go with him and Pete to the forest even tho mom made them take me, were starting to be reversed by this one event. I guess that's why I took his leaving so hard...

One day we were a little more late than usual for school so Rob might have been going a tad fast, but no faster than I had seen him go numerous times before. Long story short, he ran into some guys car while pulling into a parking space. The impact, which wasn't so bad it turns out, broke the front right blinker on "The Monte" and the rear left blinker of the car he hit. He was so worried that I was hurt he asked "Michael, are you OK?" but me, being the kid I was, I'm all "Dude, quick park somewhere else they will never know", (which would have worked If I had hit the guys car, but since it was Rob we would definitely have gotten caught), but Rob, well aware of his likely misfortune and being a good citizen, had the kid paged to the office. Now keep in mind the car we hit is like a 1981 clunker with bondo on it and tears in the rag top. Eventually, the guy comes out. He takes one look at the car and says, "Awe man, I was restoring that car." Rob and I just looked at him, like, "Are you high? That thing was a piece of shit when it was new."

Despite the drama all turned out well, and they didn't turn it onto the insurance company, and Rob paid the kid in cash for the repairs with his movie theatre money. Make money money! Make money money! More like Make baby baby! Make baby baby! Am I right? :) Just kidding. :)

As for the rest of the Rob stories, I will soon share the story of Juan, Juan, Juan and Guillermo and how they wanted to beat this kid with Robs nightstick lucky for him he gets away with just a punch in the mouth. (I actually think it was Jesus and Gus who were in the car that day, but its funny that we knew 3 guys named Juan and they all hungout. :)

Remeber when...

Remember when i hated Jason?? That big jerk (not now) took my tough sister from me and made her a softy. I don't remember any specific reason why i hated him accept that he was always jealous. I don't even remember when or why i started to like him. I remember seeing him for the first time at jewel when he had hair. No offense jay but it was not your look. ;o) I remember that he obviously thought rebeca was hot because when we first met him he was already trying to get her. When boo told me she was getting a job at jewel i was pissed. not because of jay but because she was 18 and she was starting off at minimum wage in a grocery store bagging groceries. it was not the glamorous or high paying job i thought she was capeable of getting. I had high hopes for her career. LOL Anyways, she met this hot guy that worked there and he asked her out. Im not sure i connected it was the same guy we met months before pre-haircut. LOL I remember the first date they had they went to the movies. i had to help boo convince dad it was a good idea for me to drop her off at jewel, so they could go watch a movie after he got off work. That was fun but much easier than i remember it ever being for me. OMG her first date shes almost 19 and dad still didn't want her to go. Oh well, we double teamed him with the dating guidelines and how he can't change the rules everytime we hit the age when we were allowed to do something. He always tried that didn't he? So the story continues, they spent lots of time together and i felt like i lost one of my best friends to a jealous punk boy. Which at the time he was a punk he'll tell you himself, right jay? Time went on lots of things happened and i started to realize that regardless of my feelings toward him he loved my sister and he wasn't about to go anywhere without her. I think once i stopped being selfish and tried to get to know him as a person rather than a spoiled sister stealer i started to like him. Now i truly feel like hes one of my brothers and i know he would do anything for me or anyone of my family members. I am proud to have him as my family and its getting increasingly more difficult to remember when he wasn't a part of our family. I love you Jay i'm proud of the man you have become, thanks for being a great father to my nephew and neice and a great husband to my sister.

Shoebilee

Ok, since we are on the topic of shoebilee, I thought i would add the time when Me and Renee were working i cant remmeber who else was working, but anyway it was a really busy weekend probably one of our annoying sidewalk sales and at the time i was Asst.Manager it must of been a sunday because Marlen wasnt there. I was dealing with so many annoying customers and Renee as usual was so energetic and happy with all these bargin hunters..... aka- jews.... Ok so Renee was at the register ringing people up, her favorite job!! i literally had to tear renee away from registar duty. She gets to this lady mind you the lines are like out the door, renee calls me to the register, i come over and the lady preceeds to tell me that this shoe (babyshoe) has a scuff on it and she wants to know if she can get money off , mind you this is the display shoe and the only one we have so it is already marked down to like $10 and its nike brand, so of course she is annoying me, i tell her since it does have a scuff on it, (which by the way i couldnt even see) i tell her i will take another 10% off basically making the shoe a steal, but no she actualy had the nerve to complain again. So, me being the person that i am say listen lady " the shoe is already marked down because its the last shoe and i am going to give you 10% off on top off that, so what do you want? i cant give you the shoe for free either take it or put the shoe back" at this point i think she relizes that she is not going to bargain anymore and she shuts up, i ask her again do you want the shoe or not? and her husband says yes we will take it. I will never forget Renee's face she was like OMG i cant believe you just said that, she was shocked but told me it was awesome. I am not sure if that is what started her "say whats on your mind personality" but either way i thought it was a funny story.

Fourth of July

Okay, so I know I am a little late on this post but my internet has been shoddy at best. And everytime I call tech support the only thing they tell me to do is unplug it. OKAY I GET IT TECH SUPPORT, I KNOW TO UNPLUG IT WHILE I AM WAITING ON HOLD FOR 45 MINUTES....IT STILL ISN'T WORKING!! WAAA!
Anyways, I just wanted to give a little shout out to the days of Shoebilee. I would like to preface this story by saying that for my 15th birthday the only thing that Rebeca gave me was an application. I was taking a nap and I woke up and there was an application for Shoebilee sitting on my chest. LOL I thought that was funny. But I have to say to Rebeca, that was the best job I have ever had.
These were the days after Matthew and before Michelle. Anyways, Marlen (our boss) told us that for Fourth of July we didn't have to dress in uniform and we could wear something patriotic. So, of course we were all excited we didn't have to wear our uniforms for a day. Now, I don't know if it was my strange ability to take things literally but because I heard the word Patriotic, I searched up and down in my closet for something with stars and stripes...the works. Finally, my eyes rested upon a T-Shirt that was about 3 sizes to big for me, it was navy blue with white cuffs that had red and blue stars on it. And if that wasn't bad enough my shirt also had all of the looney tunes on it wearing some sort of patriotic outfit. So fourth of July comes and I walk into work donning my XL Looney Tunes T-shirt...might I add that I was expecting my co-workers to be wearing similar garb. So, I walk into work and I notice that my co-workers have no stars or stripes anywhere on their clothing. All they had were red or white shirts with blue jeans. Still though, it doesnt dawn on me that maybe I went a little overboard until Rebeca takes one look at me and as she is trying to hold back laughter....shes says..."what are you wearing? You look ridiculous!" I'm like, oh I didn't know that we could wear things like that...I thought we were trying to be patriotic. So, all day I am pulling down on this huge T-shirt trying to keep it from hanging off my shoulders...all because I didn't think I had any other "patriotic" clothing. Now, if Marlen had said wear red, white and blue, I would have come in an entirely different ensemble. We had a good laugh about that. I was trying to call Rebeca on the fourth to remind her of my patriotic blunder but I couldn't get a hold of her and so I decided to write a blog. Although I am not sure if this translates into how funny it really was to anyone else, but at least Rebeca and I will get a good kick out of it. LOL

Every week that passes, we are a week closer to our new house! We can't wait!!!
