Okay, so I think college has numbed my brain because I haven't posted a blog because I wasn't sure how to. LOL Yeah, I'm supposed to be the smart one, right Dad? Anyways, now that I finally have time to sit down and chat, I would like to post my blog about my brother Matthew.
I remember when I was graduating eighth grade and Matthew was going off to the Navy, he said to me, I'm sorry I won't be around to watch you grow up. Of course, he didn't get to call often and we all worried about him all the time.
I remember whenever I heard the phone ring, I would hope it was him, just to hear his voice and know he was okay. One time he called (and because I was the only one home, I got the sole priviledge of talking to him, which made me very happy) and we started discussing the beauty of the internet. He said he had created a yahoo instant messeger account, and I should create one too so we could chat when I got home from school (which I think was 2am his time). So I did and my name was SweetSassyMolassi, lol. But, really thats besides the point.
The whole point of the story was that I would rush home every day just so that I could chat with my big brother. And it didn't matter if we talked about anything profound but it just made me feel good because he was chatting with me and only me.
Yesterday, I had the day off work and I just installed hi-speed internet, so imagine my surprise when I logged on to my msn account and Matthew was logged on too. It just brought me to those times when I would rush home and sign in just to see if he was there. I guess I just wanted Matthew to know that that time chatting with me, really meant a lot and I am glad that we could share it.
Oh and by the way Matthew, you haven't missed anything, I still haven't grown up.
